Find and join virtual and hybrid NA meetings from your iPhone or iPad.
Finding Meetings
The main screen is organized around a day and time. Select Now to see meetings currently in progress, or choose another day and time to browse upcoming meetings.
We Are Never Alone converts meeting times to your current local time automatically. When useful, a meeting’s original time and time zone are also shown.
You can move backward or forward through meeting times with the arrow controls or by swiping left and right across the meeting list.
Meetings Happening Now
Now shows meetings that are currently in progress. If none are in progress, the app tells you rather than showing unrelated results.
Search by Meeting Name
If you know some or all of a meeting’s name, use Search. Search works directly in the Find Meetings screen and filters the available meeting collection by meeting name.
Select a search result to open its Meeting Details.
Meeting Details
Meeting Details contains the information supplied for a selected meeting. Depending on the meeting, this can include formats, virtual connection information, telephone participation, a physical location for hybrid meetings, sharing, and your I Attend selection.
The controls shown vary with the meeting data and with compatible meeting applications installed on the device.
Meeting Formats
Expand Formats to see descriptions of the format codes supplied with the meeting record.
Hybrid Meeting Locations
For hybrid meetings, expand the location information to see the physical meeting address and map when that information is available.
Joining a Virtual Meeting
The available joining controls depend on the information supplied for the meeting and on the meeting applications installed on your device.
A meeting may provide a Web link, telephone access, or direct access through a supported meeting application such as Zoom or GoToMeeting. When We Are Never Alone recognizes a supported service and its app is installed, the app can display the video-meeting control with that application’s name beneath it.
If telephone participation is available, a telephone control is displayed. Not every meeting provides every connection method.
I Attend and My Attendance
Use I Attend to mark meetings you regularly attend. Marked meetings are identified in meeting lists and collected in My Attendance for quick access.
My Attendance provides a simplified list of the meetings you have marked, so you do not need to find them again in the full meeting collection.
Sharing a Meeting
Use the Share control in Meeting Details to send a link to the selected meeting.
The shared address is a We Are Never Alone Universal Link. If the recipient has We Are Never Alone installed, the link can open that meeting directly in the app. Otherwise, it redirects to the We Are Never Alone page on the App Store.
Opening a Meeting in Recovrr
If Recovrr is installed, Meeting Details displays Open in Recovrr. Selecting it opens the same meeting directly in Recovrr’s Meeting Details. This works for virtual-only and hybrid meetings.
Open in Recovrr uses a direct app link rather than the Universal Link used for sharing. iOS may ask you to approve opening Recovrr the first time. If Recovrr is not installed, the control is not displayed.
Useful Shortcuts and Gestures
We Are Never Alone is designed to make a very large worldwide meeting list fast to navigate. In addition to the visible controls:
- Swipe left or right across the meeting list to move through meeting times.
- Double-tap in the weekday selector or the weekday/time display to reset the controls to today/now.
- Long-press and scrub across the weekday selector to move directly among weekdays.
- Long-press and scrub across the time selector to move directly through times; the red bar indicates progress through the selected day.
- Tap the time selector to open the direct day/time selector. Use the outlined X to return to the regular selector.
- Pull down on a meeting list to request fresh meeting data immediately.
The visible arrow and selector controls remain available if you prefer not to use gestures.
Refreshing Meeting Information
We Are Never Alone periodically refreshes its meeting information automatically. On a fresh launch, data that is approximately four hours old or older is refreshed. You can also use pull-to-refresh to request updated meeting information immediately.
Settings
Reduce Service Meetings
Some entries in the worldwide data are administrative or NA service meetings rather than regular recovery meetings. When Reduce Service Meetings is enabled, We Are Never Alone attempts to filter service meetings that can be identified by an ASC code.
This is a best-effort filter. Not every service meeting is identified consistently in the source data, so some may still appear.
About the Meeting Information
We Are Never Alone aggregates virtual and hybrid Narcotics Anonymous meeting information from BMLT sources and presents it in a format designed for quickly finding meetings.
The underlying meeting records are maintained by independent NA service bodies. We Are Never Alone reads and presents that information; it does not control the authoritative meeting records. Individual records can therefore occasionally be incomplete, outdated, or inconsistent.
Privacy
We Are Never Alone requires no account and collects no personal information about you.
Your I Attend selections remain locally on your device and are not transmitted to a server or synchronized to another device.
